ADA reported on March 1 that Dentist Congressman Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) introduced an antitrust bill HR-911. The bill, the Competitive Health Insurance Act, would repeal those portions of the 1945 McCarran-Ferguson statute that exempt the health insurance industry from federal antitrust laws.  The ADA will work in the coming months to build bipartisan support for the measure, which the ADA reports is substantially the same as the Gosar legislation that passed the House last year.
