Dental practices typically do not have personnel departments to manage the task of navigating through the myriad of employment laws and regulations to keep the dentist out of trouble.  The chances are greater that a dentist will have one or more employment law claims during his or her career as compared to a malpractice claim.

In this course, you will:

  • Receive an overview of the definition of Sexual Harassment, Discrimination & Retaliation
  • Learn who is liable when a violation occurs
  • Learn what your obligations are once a complaint of wrongful conduct is received
  • Learn what preventive measures dental offices are required to implement
  • Receive an overview of basic hourly and salaried employment classifications
  • Learn about requirements for recording hours, payment of wages, applying leaves to employee absences, and more
